The GWZ Wijma sawmill, in Nguti, converts timber into lumber. The Herakles Farms palm tree  be just a few miles from this mill.

Both are close to the boundaries of the Nta Ali Forest Reserve and the Banyang-Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary. The difficulty of accessing the parks makes them a safe preserve for wildlife, including lowland gorillas, chimpanzees and forest elephants.
