Kashmir Employees Get Sprayed

A jet of water is fired from an Indian police vehicle toward Kashmir government employees during a protest against the government on April 17, 2012, in Srinagar, summer capital of Indian Administered Kashmir. Hundreds of government employees demonstrated for longstanding demands, including regular daily wages and a change in retirement age. Dozens were injured and scores detained when Indian police used purple water cannons and batons to disperse them.
