See You in Kazakhstan in 2022?

The location for the 2018 Winter Olympics has been decided: Pyeongchang South Korea. It's a fitting spot for the games. Known as "The Alps of Korea," Pyeongchang is known for its several ski resorts, as well as the Daegwallyeong Snow Festival, one of the largest winter festivals in Korea. (One competitive sport at the festival? The half-nude marathon. Somehow, we don't see that becoming an Olympic sport).

After that, bids for the 2022 Olympics have been submitted. Six cities are placed bids to host the games: Almaty, Kazakhstan; Beijing, China; Krakow, Poland; Lviv, Ukraine; Oslo, Norway; and Stockholm, Sweden—though Sweden has since retracted the offer. The winner will be announced in July 2015.
