Total compensation: $62.2 million

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves presides over the most-watched TV network in the U.S. and the only major broadcaster to gain viewers this year, according to Nielsen data. His compensation package included a $27.5 million cash bonus.

Shares of the New York-based company have risen 35 percent this year, giving it a market value of $31.5 billion.

Separately, Moonves has a severance package worth $251.4 million, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
