MediaFLO/mobile digital TV (2006)

Qualcomm hoped to popularize the idea of accessing television shows on the go with the FLO TV Personal Television mobile device. Consumer interest was tepid, in part because its 16 channels of paid programming weren't live. Samsung and LG in 2010 also showed prototypes for phones with built-in access to free digital TV signals from local stations. Two years later, none have come to market.
