Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick participated in the release of this year’s ACEEE scorecard, the first time a state’s chief executive officer has done so.

An arsenal of energy-efficiency initiatives keeps Massachusetts on top for the third consecutive year. Energy audits, rebates for upgrades and demand-reduction incentives add up to an annual savings of about 2.5 percent in electricity and more than 1 percent in natural gas use.
