Ice Ice Birdie

This invention is for a device that catapults ice cubes onto a roof to scare away birds. The contraption, which can be activated by a timer, a remote control or an on-off switch, will have enough power to project a cube into the air at least one story (about 10 feet). "The use of ice is environmentally friendly and will not jam gutters," according to the patent filing.

The inventor is Preston Jones of Elk Grove, California.
