What: Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG

How much it costs: $96,000

Why we like it: The first-generation of the CLS introduced a radical design -- a roomy four-door sedan with the sloped silhouette of a sexy coupe. The new generation is here, and its most potent variation, the CLS63, is a fire-breathing, tire-burning executive hauler. Some $96,000 gets you a 4.6-liter, twin-turbo V-8 with 402 horsepower and the ability to outrun many far more showy sports cars.
