Party spaces: Most couples do a back-and-forth between the main ballroom and adjacent terrace room: ceremony in the former, cocktail hour in the latter, and then back to the ballroom for the reception. Far from “basic hotel boring,” these grand party spaces have a handsome lodge-like look (the ballroom’s 16-foot ceiling is fitted with polished fir beams) and a wowsa of a waterfront view. If you want a smaller space, there’s a fireplace and tall birch trunks in the Forest Room, which opens onto its own bayside deck.
For guests on a budget: No problem—Seattle has abundant hotels for every size wallet.
One more thing: Seattle weather doesn’t always cooperate, but gray skies make the guest rooms—every one of which has a fireplace—all the more delightful.
