Introduced last year, the Symbionic Leg is the world's first complete bionic leg for people with an above-knee amputation. The prosthesis automatically adapts to individual walking styles and is designed to help amputees avoid falls while tackling uneven terrain such as slopes and stairs. Tested for more than a year, the Symbionic Leg became commercially available on a limited basis late last year. Ossur doesn't disclose its price.
