NEC Corporation (TSE:6701) agreed to acquire the remaining 40% stake in NEC Toshiba Space Systems from Toshiba Corporation (TSE:6502) on February 27, 2015. Pursuant to the transaction, NEC Toshiba Space Systems will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC and change its name to NEC Space Technologies, Ltd. on April 1, 2015. NEC Toshiba reported sales of ¥21.6 billion for the year ended March 2014. The transaction is expected to close in March 31, 2015.
