Vantage Drilling Company operates as an international offshore drilling company. The company’s principal business is to contract drilling units, related equipment and work crews, primarily on a dayrate basis to drill oil and natural gas wells for its customers. The company also provides construction supervision services for drilling units owned by others. Through its fleet of drilling units, the company is a provider of offshore contract drilling services to major, national and independent oil and natural gas companies, focused primarily on international markets. Drilling Fleet Jackups: The design of its jackup rigs is the Baker Marine Pacific Class 375. These units are ultra-premium jackup rigs with independent legs capable of drilling in up to 375 feet of water, a cantilever drilling floor and a total drilling depth capacity of approximately 30,000 feet. Drillships: All of its drillships are designed for drilling in water depths of up to 12,000 feet, with a total vertical drilling depth capacity of up to 40,000 feet. The drillships’ hull design has a variable deck load of approximately 20,000 tons and measures approximately 781 feet long by 137 feet wide. Strategy The company’s strategy is to: capitalize on customer demand for modern and high specification units; focus on international markets; expand key industry relationships; use contracted cash flow to reduce leverage; increase deepwater exposure; and identify and pursue acquisition opportunities. Customers The company’s customers are primarily large multinational oil and natural gas companies, government owned oil and natural gas companies and independent oil and natural gas producers. As of December 31, 2014, the following customers accounted for more than 10% of the company’s consolidated revenue: Oil & Natural Gas Corporation; Olio Energy Sdn Bhd; Ophir Energy; and Perenco Oil and Gas. History Vantage Drilling Company was founded in 2007. The company was incorporated with limited liability in the Cayman Islands.
