UTStarcom Holdings Corp. provides broadband products, solution and services. The company focuses on delivering broadband transport and access (both Wi-Fi and fixed line) products and solutions, optimized for mobile backhaul, metro aggregation, broadband access and Wi-Fi data offloading. The company’s broadband technologies enable high-speed voice, video and data access and transport over broadband IP-based networks. The broadband product lines include family of Packet Transport Network (PTN) products based on Multi Protocol Label Switch Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) and Carrier Ethernet (CE) technologies, Multi-Services Transport Platform (MSTP), fixed line and wireless broadband access solutions including Multi Services Access Network (MSAN), Fiber To The X (FTTx), and Wi-Fi solutions. Optical Transport Products The company’s optical transport products include Packet Transport Network (PTN) product lines and Multi-Services Transport Platform (MSTP) product line based upon internationally defined optical transmission standards. The company’s products convert and translate data, video, voice or other traffic into an optical signal that is transmitted over glass fiber. The product platform includes a centralized network management system that simultaneously processes multiple speeds ranging from 155 Megabits per second for traditional voice service to 1000 Gigabits per second for data intensive services. PTN: The product line is implemented in a line of network elements from compact metro access boxes to high-performance core devices, and offers a feature set, including network-wide time/clock synchronization, carrier class sub 50ms recovery resiliency, guaranteed Quality Of Service (QoS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) enforcement, end-to-end multi-layer Operation Administration & Maintenance (OAM), and a range of interfaces Ethernet, Time Division Multiplex (TDM), asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH)/synchronous optical network (SONET). The company’s NetRing TN packet optical transport system is based on the latest Multi Protocol Label Switch Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) and Carrier Ethernet (CE) technologies. It is capable of carrying TDM, ATM, SDN/SONET and Ethernet services over a reliable and scalable network, with resiliency at par with traditional SDH networks. In August 2013, the company introduced the NetRingTN701 product, the newest product in the NetRing TN packet optical transport product family. The NetRingTN701 product aims to help operators enhance profitability by extending the availability and reliability of MPLS-TP network from metro core and aggregation to the network edge. It offers improved capabilities including optimized dimensions, extended reach to the network edge, improved signaling and durability and enhanced reliability. The company also introduced the new release of Network Management System, or NMS, in August 2013, which augments its next generation of packet optical transport solutions and allows customers to expand the capacity of their existing PTN networks and aggregate the management of large-scale networks. MSTP: The company introduced its NetRing MSTP optical product line in 2003. While its MSTP product is designed to provide multi-services including Time Division Multiplex (TDM), asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and Ethernet to individual customers over a synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) basic architecture, its NetRing products are designed for the high bandwidth needs of a multiple types of services area. MSTP product lines includes access box NetRing 600, mid-range NetRing 2500, and high-end NetRing 10000. Broadband Access The company’s Broadband Access product family includes various IP-based products that help network operators to reach their customers in the most suitable and efficient way through a choice of technologies and their combinations including wireless (Wi-Fi) and fixed line (GPON, MSAN) solutions in order to provide optimal broadband experience to customers via a cost-effective converged network. Wi-Fi Products The company’s Wi-Fi products include a complete solution for a managed wireless access netw
