U.S. Helicopter Corporation provides scheduled and charter passenger helicopter services in the United States. The company’s operations center on scheduled flights connecting midtown and downtown Manhattan with Newark Liberty International Airport (Newark) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (Kennedy Airport). It offers regularly scheduled helicopter service in the New York market. The company’s Metro-hop Airport Shuttle Service (MASS) service would provide regular, scheduled passenger helicopter service between metropolitan airports and surrounding city-based heliports. In 2006, the company introduced its MASS service in the Metro New York City market with service between Kennedy Airport and Newark Airport and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. In February 2007, the company expanded its service between Kennedy Airport and Newark Airport to the East 34th Street Heliport. It also services between Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, Connecticut and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. The company has operating agreements with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (the Port Authority) for its flight operations at the Downtown Manhattan Heliport, Kennedy Airport and Newark Airport. It also entered into an agreement with MacQuarie Aviation North America for its flight operations at the East 34th Street Heliport. The company has entered into Interline Agreements with Delta Airlines and Continental Airlines for the establishment of operating and marketing relationships with these two companies, whereby the airlines provide select airport and airline services and ground handling. Competition The company’s competitors include Helicopter Flight Services Inc.; Ventura Air Services; Associated Aircraft Group; and Helijet International, Inc. Significant Events U.S. Helicopter Corp. and Delta Air Lines, Inc. have a codeshare agreement to expedite the process for customers connecting between two New York City heliports and Delta's flights at its New York hub at JFK International Airport. History U.S. Helicopter Corporation was founded in 2003.
