The company’s services are supported by its technology platforms, including its BenefitConnect system in the U.S., and its onshore benefits call centers. Supporting approximately seven and a half million plan participants and their family members, the company provides various pension related services, such as pension and retirement plan administration; pension de-risking; pension payroll administration; treasury and accounting administration; flexible benefits plan administration; trustee services; data clean-up; and benefits call centers. In the U.S., the company is a top-tier benefits outsourcing provider and provides defined benefit outsourcing. The company’s administration technology, BenefitConnect, includes case management and administration tools to help plan sponsors manage the entire life cycle, from new hire to retirement, and employee self-service tools that improve employees’ understanding of their benefits. The company delivers outsourced services through four U.S. service center locations, with representatives equipped with an upgraded and integrated technology suite and training. In the U.K., the company provides retirement administration outsourcing and flexible benefits administration services to the private sector. The company uses automated processes and Web technology to enable benefit plan members to access their records and improve their understanding of their benefits. The company’s technology also provides trustees and human resources departments with management information to monitor activity levels. In markets outside the U.K. with complex defined contribution arrangements, the company has deployed defined contribution technology, processes and controls. The company’s defined contribution administration model used in Germany and the U.K. leverages Web technology and provides clients with ‘back office’ reconciliation, while offering clients the option to outsource or co-source front-office operations as needed.
