Broadband Services The Broadband Services business area provides mass-market services for connecting homes and offices. Products and services include broadband over copper, fiber and cable, IPTV, voice over internet, home communications services, IP-VPN/Business internet, leased lines and traditional telephony. The business area operates the group common core network, including the data network of the international carrier business, and comprises operations in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia (49%), Estonia and international carrier operations. Eurasia The Eurasia business area comprises mobile operations in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Moldova, Nepal and Cambodia. The business area is also responsible for developing the company’s shareholding in the mobile operators MegaFon (44%) in Russia and Turkcell (37%) in Turkey. Other operations Other Business Services is responsible for sales and production of managed-services solutions to business customers. Acquisitions In October 2008, the company acquired 51% of the shares and votes in TeliaSonera Asia Holding B.V. (Asia Holding), which owns controlling interests in the two mobile operators Spice Nepal Pvt., Ltd. in Nepal (80%) and Applifone Co. Ltd. in Cambodia (100%). In 2008, the company also acquired the outstanding shares in the retail chain ComHouse AS in Norway, further the Swedish systems integrator Avansys AB and its subsidiaries (100%), the dunning company, UAB Sergel in Lithuania (100%) and the Estonian IT training company IT Koolituskeskuse OU, including its subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (83%).
