The company serves the needs of commercial businesses, and professionals and entrepreneurs located in Texas, as well as operates various lines of business serving a regional or national clientele of commercial borrowers. Products and Services The company offers various loan, deposit account, and other financial products and services to its customers. Business Customers: The company offers a range of products and services oriented to the needs of its business customers, including commercial loans for general corporate purposes, including financing for working capital, internal growth, acquisitions and financing for business insurance premiums; real estate term and construction loans; mortgage finance lending; equipment leasing; treasury management services; wealth management and trust services; and letters of credit. Individual Customers: The company also provides complete banking services for its individual customers, including personal wealth management and trust services; certificates of deposit; interest-bearing and non-interest-bearing checking accounts with optional features, such as Visa debit/ATM cards and overdraft protection; traditional money market and savings accounts; loans, both secured and unsecured; and Internet banking. Lending Activities The company extends variable rate loans in which the interest rate fluctuates with a predetermined indicator, such as the United States prime rate or the London Interbank Offered Rate. Its use of variable rate loans is designed to protect the company from risks associated with interest rate fluctuations since the rates of interest earned would automatically reflect such fluctuations. Commercial Loans and Leases: The company’s commercial loan portfolio includes lines of credit for working capital and term loans and leases to finance equipment and other business assets. Mortgage Finance Loans: The company’s mortgage finance loans consist of ownership interests purchased in single-family residential mortgages funded through its warehouse lending group. Construction Loans: The company’s construction loan portfolio consists primarily of single- and multi-family residential properties and commercial projects used in manufacturing, warehousing, service or retail businesses. The company’s construction loans generally have terms of one to three years. The company makes construction loans to developers, builders and contractors that have an established record of project completion and loan repayment, and have an equity investment in the borrowers. Real Estate Loans: The company’s real estate loan portfolio (excluding construction loans) includes loans secured by properties other than market risk or investment-type real estate. The company provides temporary financing for commercial and residential property. These loans are viewed primarily as cash flow loans and secondarily as loans secured by real estate. The company’s real estate loans have maximum terms of five to seven years, and it provides loans with both floating and fixed rates. Letters of Credit: The company issues standby and commercial letters of credit, and could service the international needs of its clients through correspondent banks. Investment Securities As of December 31, 2014, the company’s investment securities included mortgage-backed securities, municipals, and equity securities. Deposit Products The company offers various deposit products to its core customers at interest rates that are competitive with other banks. Its business deposit products include commercial checking accounts, lockbox accounts, cash concentration accounts, and other treasury management services, including an online system. The company’s treasury management online system offers information services, wire transfer initiation, ACH initiation, account transfer and service integration.
