the production of surgical guides, fitting models, veneer try-ins and orthodontic appliances from materials specially engineered for dental applications. The company’s wax-deposition-modeling (WDM) technology drives 3D printers that enable the production of crowns, bridges and partial dentures. Consumable Materials The company sells a range of 3D printing materials, consisting of 38 Polyjet/FDM cartridge-based materials, 5 SCP inkjet-based materials and 138 non-color digital materials, and approximately 1,000 color variations for use in its 3D printers and production systems. The materials the company sells are as follows: FDM-based materials The modeling and support filament used in the FDM-based 3D printers and production systems features production grade thermoplastic materials. The company develops filament modeling materials that meet its customers’ needs. These materials are processed into its proprietary filament form, which is then utilized by its FDM systems. The company has various build materials in multiple colors commercially available for use with its FDM technology. PolyJet-based materials The company’s resin consumables, which consist of its PolyJet family of proprietary acrylic-based photopolymer materials, are designed for use with its PolyJet printing systems and enable users of those products to create finely detailed 3D models and parts for a range of prototype development and customized manufacturing applications. The company’s PolyJet materials are packaged in cartridges for safe handling and are suitable for use in office environments. The polymerized materials can also be machined, drilled, chrome-plated or painted in most cases. SCP inkjet-based Materials The company’s SolidScape 3D materials are non-toxic thermoplastic materials featuring lost wax casting qualities, including fast melt out, no ash or residue, and no thermal expansion. The company has three modeling materials commercially available for use with its SolidScape technology. Integrated Software The company offers suites of integrated software with its various additive manufacturing (AM) systems. The company’s software supports commonly used 3D file formats and converts three-dimensional CAD databases into the appropriate code to operate its AM systems.
