Shell Gas (LPG) provides LPG and related services to retail, commercial and industrial customers for cooking, heating, lighting and transport. Shell Bitumen supplies on average 11,000 tonnes of products every day to 1,600 customers worldwide and invests in technology research and development to create innovative products. Chemicals The company’s plants produce a range of base chemicals, including ethylene, propylene and aromatics, as well as intermediate chemicals, such as styrene monomer, propylene oxide, solvents, detergent alcohols, ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol. Dispositions In Brazil, the company sold a 23% interest in the Shell-operated deep-water project BC-10 to Qatar Petroleum International. In Canada, the company sold its 100% interest in the Orion steam assisted gravity drainage project. In Nigeria, the company sold its 30% interest in OML 24 and related onshore facilities. Projects and Technology Projects and Technology manages the delivery of the company’s major projects and drives research and innovation to create technology solutions. It provides technical services and technology capability covering both Upstream and Downstream activities. It is also responsible for providing functional leadership across the company in the areas of safety and environment, contracting and procurement, and for all wells activities and carbon dioxide management. Properties The company has interests in approximately 24 refineries worldwide with the capacity to process approximately 3.1 million barrels of crude oil per day.
