In December 2014, Atos and Panasonic announced that they will jointly develop AV security systems and electronic visual display systems for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In March 2015, Infineon Technologies AG and Panasonic Corporation have announced an agreement under which both companies would jointly develop Gallium nitride (GaN) devices based on Panasonic's normally-off (enhancement mode) GaN on silicon transistor structure integrated into Infineon's surface-mounted device (SMD) packages. In June 2015, Panasonic has been divesting less profitable product lines, such as smartphones and plasma TVs, and focusing on energy-saving home systems and automotive components.
