As of December 31, 2014, the company operated 26 branches located throughout Colorado’s Front Range, including the Denver metropolitan area; and 2 investment management firms. The region includes the counties of Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld. The company provides banking and other financial services, including commercial and industrial, real estate, construction, consumer and agriculture loans throughout its targeted Colorado markets to consumers and small to medium-sized businesses, including the owners and employees of those businesses. In addition to loans and depository services, the company provides wealth management solutions, including trust and investment management services. All loans are secured by specific items of collateral, including business assets, consumer assets, and commercial and residential real estate. Lending Activities Commercial Loans: The company’s commercial and industrial loan portfolio includes operating loans secured by business assets. The company classifies loans by borrowers’ intended purpose for the loan rather than based on the underlying collateral. Therefore, the company includes loans within this portfolio that are collateralized with various assets, including real estate. Commercial and Residential Real Estate Loans: This portfolio primarily includes loans secured by commercial and residential real estate. The commercial real estate portfolio generally consists of owner-occupied, retail and industrial, office, and multi-family properties. Commercial real estate and multi-family loans typically involve large balances to single borrowers or groups of related borrowers. Residential real estate includes residential mortgages, primarily jumbo mortgages and home equity lines of credit to customers in the company’s markets. Construction Loans: The company’s construction loan portfolio includes investor-developer and owner-occupied properties and single-family residential development properties. Installment Loans to Individuals and Other Consumer Loans: This category includes miscellaneous consumer loans, including overdraft protection and lines of credit. Consumer loans might be unsecured or secured by depreciable assets. Agriculture Loans: The company’s agriculture land-secured portfolio primarily includes real estate loans to working farms in counties within its geographic footprint. The company’s agriculture operating loan portfolio includes operating loans to working farms in the same counties. Small Business Administration Loans (SBA): The company’s SBA portfolio consists of SBA guaranteed and other SBA-related loans. The guaranteed loans are for qualifying business purposes with maturity dates ranging from 7 to 25 years. The SBA guarantees approximately 90% of the financing for these types of loans. The SBA-related loans are originated in partnership with the SBA under the SBA’s 504 loan program primarily on owner-occupied commercial real estate with maturity dates ranging from 8 to 26 years. In addition, the company provides traditional deposit accounts, such as demand, interest-bearing demand, NOW, money market, IRA, time deposits and savings accounts. The company’s certificate of deposit customers primarily represent local relationships. The company’s branch network enables it to offer a range of deposits, loans and personalized services to the company’s targeted commercial and consumer customers.
