StealthGas Inc. own a fleet of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers providing international seaborne transportation services to LPG producers and users, as well as crude oil and product carriers chartered to oil producers, refiners, and commodities traders. The company’s LPG carriers carry various petroleum gas products in liquefied form, including propane, butane, butadiene, isopropane, propylene and vinyl chloride monomer, which are all byproducts of the production of crude oil and natural gas. The three medium range product carriers in its fleet are capable of carrying refined petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, and jet fuel, as well as edible oils and chemicals, while the company’s Aframax tanker is used for carrying crude oil. As of April 1, 2014, the company’s fleet consisted of 39 LPG carriers with an average age of 11.9 years, two 2008-built product carriers, one 2009-built product carrier and one 2010-built Aframax crude oil tanker. The company also has agreements to acquire 17 LPG carriers, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2014 and 2015. Customers The company’s principal charterers include producers of LPG products, such as national, major and other independent energy companies and energy traders, and industrial users of those products. For the year ended December 31, 2013, it had 50 customers. In addition, vessels under bareboat charter might be sub-chartered to third parties. Environmental and Other Regulations The operation of the company’s vessels is also affected by the requirements set forth in the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and Pollution Prevention of the International Maritime Organization. The operations of its product carriers are subject to compliance with the International Maritime Organization’s International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk for chemical tankers built after July 1, 1986. History StealthGas Inc. was founded in 2004. The company was incorporated in 2004 in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
