Devon Energy Corporation, an independent energy company, engages primarily in the exploration, development and production of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs). The company’s operations are concentrated in various North American onshore areas in the U.S. and Canada. It also produces approximately 1.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day and approximately 130,000 barrels of natural gas liquids per day. The company’s subsidiary includes EnLink Midstream Partners, LP (EnLink). Oil and Gas Properties Anadarko Basin: The company’s acreage is located primarily in Oklahoma’s Canadian, Blaine and Caddo counties. The Anadarko Basin is a non-conventional reservoir and produces natural gas, NGLs and condensate. The company has several thousand remaining drilling locations. Barnett Shale: The company’s leases are located primarily in Denton, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant and Wise counties in north Texas. The Barnett Shale is a non-conventional reservoir, producing natural gas, NGLs and condensate. Eagle Ford: The company has approximately 82,000 net acres located in the DeWitt and Lavaca counties in south Texas. The Eagle Ford is a light-oil play and is delivering some of the drilling opportunities in North America. In addition, the company has a 100 percent interest in the Victoria Express Pipeline (VEX) in south Texas. The VEX pipeline is a 56 mile crude oil pipeline from the Eagle Ford to the Port of Victoria terminal that has a capacity of 50 MBOPD. Mississippian-Woodford Trend: The company’s leases are located in north central Oklahoma targeting oil in the Mississippian Lime and Woodford Shale. These areas are being explored and developed under an arrangement with its joint venture partner and independently by the company on the acreage outside of its area of mutual interest with its joint venture partner. Permian Basin – The Permian Basin has been a legacy asset for Devon and offers exploration and low-risk development opportunities from various geologic reservoirs and play types, including the oil-rich Bone Spring, Wolfcamp Shale, Delaware and various conventional formations. Rockies: The company’s operations are focused on emerging oil opportunities in the Powder River Basin and the Wind River Basin. In the Powder River, the company targets Cretaceous oil objectives, including the Turner, Parkman and Frontier formations. Canadian Heavy Oil: The company has two main projects, Jackfish and Pike, located in Alberta, Canada. In addition, its Lloydminster properties are located to the south and east of Jackfish in eastern Alberta. Lloydminster produces heavy oil by conventional means, without the need for steam injection. Jackfish is its thermal heavy oil project in the non-conventional oil sands of east central Alberta. The company’s Pike oil sands acreage is situated directly to the southeast of its Jackfish acreage in east central Alberta and has similar reservoir characteristics to Jackfish. The company operates and holds a 50 percent interest in the Pike project. The company has a 50 percent interest in the Access Pipeline transportation system in Canada. This pipeline system allows the company to blend its heavy oil production with condensate or other blend-stock and transport the combined product to the Edmonton area for sale. In 2014, the company completed a capacity expansion on the Access Pipeline system, increasing the capacity to transport approximately 170,000 barrels of bitumen blend per day, net to its 50% interest. In addition to its Jackfish and Pike projects, the company holds acreage and own producing assets in the Lloydminster region. EnLink Properties EnLink’s assets are comprised of systems and other assets located in four primary regions: Texas – These assets consist of transmission pipelines with a capacity of approximately 1.3 Bcf/d, processing facilities with a total processing capacity of approximately 1.2 Bcf/d and gathering systems with total capacity of approximately 2.8 Bcf/d.
