Products The company’s products include diodes, rectifiers, transistors, MOSFETs, protection devices, functional specific arrays, single gate logic, amplifiers and comparators, Hall-effect and temperature sensors, power management devices, including LED drivers, AC-DC and DC-DC switching, linear voltage regulators, and voltage references along with special function devices, such as USB power switches, load switches, voltage supervisors, and motor controllers. The products are sold primarily throughout Asia, North America, and Europe. The company’s product portfolio addresses the design needs of advanced electronic equipment, including high-volume consumer devices, such as digital media players, smartphones, tablets, notebook computers, flat-panel displays, mobile handsets, digital cameras, and set-top boxes. Its product line includes approximately 10,000 products. The company’s discrete semiconductor products include performance Schottky rectifiers; performance Schottky diodes; Zener diodes and performance Zener diodes, including tight tolerance and low operating current types; standard, fast, super-fast and ultra-fast recovery rectifiers; bridge rectifiers; switching diodes; small signal bipolar transistors; prebiased transistors; MOSFETs; thyristor surge protection devices; and transient voltage suppressors. The company’s analog products include power management devices, such as AC-DC and DC-DC converters, USB power switches, low dropout and linear voltage regulators; standard linear devices, such as operational amplifiers and comparators, current monitors, voltage references, and reset generators; LED lighting drivers; and sensor products, including Hall-effect sensors and motor drivers. The company’s standard logic products include low-voltage complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) and advanced high-speed CMOS devices; multichip products and co-packaged discrete, analog and mixed-signal silicon in miniature packages; and silicon and silicon epitaxial wafers used in manufacturing these products. Customers The company serves approximately 250 direct customers worldwide, which consist of original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS) providers. Additionally, the company has approximately 150 distributor customers worldwide, through which it indirectly serves approximately 50,000 customers. Its customers include OEMs in a range of industries, such as Continental AG, Delta Electronics, Honeywell, Osram, Phillips, Arris, Emerson, Hella, LG Electronics, Lenovo, Quanta Computer, Seagate, Sagem Communication, and Samsung Electronics; EMS providers, such as Celestica, Flextronics, Hon Hai Precision Industry, Inventec, Jabil Circuit, and Sanmina-SCI; and distributors, such as Arrow, Avnet, Future Electronics, Rutronic, Yosun Industrial, DigiKey, and Zenitron. Strategy The company’s strategy is to continue to enhance its position as a leading global designer, manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application-specific standard semiconductor products, utilizing innovative and cost-effective assembly and test (packaging) technology. Seasonality Historically, the company’s net sales have been affected by the cyclical nature of the semiconductor industry. In addition, its net sales have been subject to some seasonal variation with weaker net sales in the first and fourth calendar quarters.
