CommScope Holding Company, Inc. provides infrastructure solutions for communications networks worldwide. The company’s portfolio of network infrastructure includes various wireless and fiber optic solutions. Its solutions are found in some of the largest buildings, venues and outdoor spaces; in data centers and buildings of all shapes, sizes and complexities; at wireless cell sites; in telecom central offices and cable headends; in fiber-to-the-X (FTTx) deployments; and in airports, trains, and tunnels. The company serves its customers in approximately 100 countries. The company’s customers include major global telecommunication operators, as well as various enterprise customers, including many Fortune 500 enterprises, and major multi-system operators (MSOs). The company has direct relationships with its customers and serves them through a direct sales force and a global network of channel partners. In August 2015, the company completed the acquisition of TE Connectivity Ltd.’s Broadband Network Solutions (BNS) business. The BNS business provides fiber optic and copper connectivity for wireline and wireless networks, and also provides small-cell distributed antenna system (DAS) solutions for the wireless market. Segments The company has four segments: Wireless, Enterprise, Broadband, and BNS. Wireless This segment provides merchant radio frequency (RF) wireless network connectivity solutions and small cell and DAS solutions to enable carriers’ 2G, 3G and 4G networks. The company’s solutions, marketed primarily under the Andrew brand, enable wireless operators to deploy macro cell site, metro cell site, DAS and small cell solutions to meet a network’s coverage and capacity requirements. The company focuses on various aspects of the Radio Access Network from the macro through the metro to the indoor layer. The company’s macro cell site solutions could be found at wireless tower sites and on rooftops; and include base station antennas, microwave antennas, hybrid fiber-feeder and power cables, coaxial cables, connectors and filters. The company’s metro cell solutions could be found outdoors on street poles and on other urban structures; and include RF delivery and connectivity solutions, equipment housing and concealment. These fully integrated outdoor systems consist of specialized antennas, filters/combiners, backhaul solutions, intra-system cabling and power distribution, all minimized to fit an urban environment. The company’s small cell and DAS solutions primarily include DASs and distributed cell solutions that allow wireless operators to increase spectral efficiency and thereby extend and improve cellular coverage and capacity in requiring network conditions, such as commercial buildings, urban areas, stadiums, and transportation systems. The company provides a source for managing the technology lifecycle of a wireless network, including complete physical layer infrastructure solutions for 2G, 3G, and 4G. The company’s solutions include products for every major wireless protocol and allow wireless network operators to operate across multiple frequency bands. The company provides a portfolio of RF infrastructure. To expand the company’s Wireless segment offerings, in 2015, the company acquired the operations of Airvana LP (Airvana), which provides small cell solutions. This acquisition expanded the company’s leadership and capabilities in providing indoor wireless capacity and coverage. The combination of Airvana’s small cell offerings and the company’s DAS portfolio enables it to provide a range of solutions, addressing single-operator, single-band, low capacity environments all the way through multi-carrier, multi-technology, multi-band, high capacity environments. The company owns two businesses of the United Kingdom-based Alifabs Group (Alifabs). Alifabs designs and supplies metro cell enclosures, monopoles, smaller streetworks towers, and tower solutions for the United Kingdom telecommunications, utility, and energy markets. The company intends to leverage its sales and distribution networks to expand the services and solutions offering for Alifabs’ products across Europe. Enterp
