Cincinnati Bell Inc. and its subsidiaries provides integrated communications solutions, including high-speed Internet, data, video, and local and long distance voice, which keep residential and business customers in Greater Cincinnati connected with each other and with the world. In addition, business customers across the United States rely on Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions Inc. (CBTS), a wholly-owned subsidiary, for the sale and service of communications and information technology (IT) systems and solutions. The company also owns approximately 44% of CyrusOne Inc., which specializes in enterprise-class, carrier-neutral data center properties. Segments As of December 31, 2014, the company operated three segments: Wireline; IT Services and Hardware; and Wireless. Wireline segment This segment provides products and services, such as data transport, high-speed Internet, entertainment, local voice, long distance, VoIP, and other services. CBT is the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) for a geography that covers a radius of approximately 25 miles around Cincinnati, Ohio, and includes parts of northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana. This segment also provides voice and data services beyond its ILEC territory, particularly in Dayton and Mason, Ohio, through the operations of Cincinnati Bell Extended Territories LLC, a competitive local exchange carrier and subsidiary of CBT. This segment provides long distance and VoIP services primarily through its Cincinnati Bell Any Distance Inc. and eVolve Business Solutions LLC subsidiaries. The major products and services provided by this segment include the following: Data Services The company's data service products include high-speed Internet access, data transport, and interconnection services. The company provides Internet speeds of 10 megabits or more to approximately 490,000 addresses. As business customers migrate from legacy products and network technology, the company’s metro-Ethernet product becomes the access method of choice, due to its ability to support multiple applications on a single physical connection. The company continues to build out fiber to multi-tenant units in greater Cincinnati to meet improving demand for these services. The company is also expanding its metro-Ethernet platform to deliver services across a geography to target business customers beyond its ILEC footprint. The company’s regional network connects the greater Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton areas in Ohio, as well as Indianapolis, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; and Louisville, Kentucky. Voice - Local Service Voice local service revenue includes local service, digital trunking, switched access, information services, and other value-added services, such as caller identification, voicemail, call waiting, and call return. The company's voice access lines continue to decrease as its customers have employed wireless technologies in lieu of wireline voice services (wireless substitution), migrated to competitors, or were disconnected due to credit problems. This segment has been able to offset the effect of access line loss on revenue by bundling two or more of the company's other services at a lower price than if they were purchased individually; and increasing the sale of VoIP services and other fiber-based products to business customers. Long Distance and VoIP The company's investment in its VoIP network has created a platform capable of supporting various customers ranging from small shops to large enterprise customers. Its VoIP products provide its customers access to disbursed communication platforms and access to its cloud based services and hosted unified communications product. Residential and business customers electing traditional long-distance lines could choose from various long distance plans, which include unlimited long distance for a flat fee, purchase of minutes at a per-minute-of-use rate, or a fixed number of minutes for a flat fee. Entertainment The company offers Fioptics and focused its fiber network expenditures on densely populated areas, such as apartments and condominiums. As of December 31, 2014, the company had 91,
