Segments The company operates in three segments: Civil Aviation Training Solutions (Civil), Defence and Security (Defence), and Healthcare. Civil segment This segment provides training solutions for flight, cabin, maintenance and ground personnel in commercial, business and helicopter aviation, a range of flight simulation training devices, as well as ab initio pilot training and crew sourcing services. The company provides commercial and business aviation training services. It offers aviation training services in 30 countries and through its global network of training centres, it serves various sectors of civil aviation, including airlines and other commercial, business and helicopter aviation operators. The company has long-term training center operations and training services agreements and joint ventures with approximately 40 major airlines and aircraft operators worldwide. The company’s range of training solutions includes products and services offerings for pilot, cabin crew and aircraft maintenance technician training, training center operations, curriculum development, courseware solutions and consulting services. The company operates 261 full-flight simulators (FFSs), including those operating in its joint ventures. It offers technology with a solution capability to integrate flight data and simulator data to understand the performance of trainees. In the formation of new pilots, the company operates the major ab initio flight training network in the world with 9 academies and a fleet of approximately 165 aircraft. In the area of resource management, it provides flight crew and technical personnel to airlines, aircraft leasing companies, manufacturers and MRO companies worldwide. The company engages in the design, manufacture and integration of civil FFSs for major and regional commercial airlines, third-party training centers and original equipment manufacturer (OEMs). It has established a wealth of experience in developing first-to-market simulators for approximately 35 types of aircraft models, including the development of simulators for the Airbus A350 XWB and A320Neo, Cirrus SF50, Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), ATR42/72-600, Bombardier CSeries, Global 5000/6000 and Global 7000/8000, Dassault Falcon 5X and the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd (COMAC) ARJ21 and C919. The company’s flight simulation equipment, including FFSs, are designed to meet the rigorous demands of their intended long and active service lives, often spanning various decades.
