As per the agreement, both companies would undertake economic, technical, and commercial feasibility studies to construct production facilities. In December 2010, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. and BASF SE signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly invest to expand their petrochemical complex in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
