Segments The company operates through three segments: Commercial Aircraft, Consumables Management, and Business Jet. COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT Products and Services Seating Products The company offers a selection of first class, business class, tourist class, and regional aircraft seats. A seat manufactured and sold by the company includes the seat frame, cushions, armrests, tray table, and various optional features, such as adjustable lumbar supports, electrical actuation systems, footrests, reading lights, head/neck supports, and other comfort amenities. The company also integrates various in-flight entertainment equipment into its seats, which is supplied to the company by its customers or third-party suppliers. First and Business Class Seats: The company’s line of first class lie-flat seats incorporates electric actuation, an electric ottoman, privacy panels, and sidewall-mounted tables. The business class seats include electrical or mechanical actuation, production certificate power ports, iPod connectivity, telephones, individual video monitors, leg rests, adjustable lumbar cushions, four-way adjustable headrests, and fiber optic reading lights. Tourist Class and Regional Jet Seats: The company’s Spectrum coach class seat is a primary seat platform for single-aisle aircraft. It offers its new patented Pinnacle main cabin seating platform. Spares: Aircraft seats require regularly scheduled maintenance in the course of normal passenger use. Oxygen Delivery Systems The company manufactures oxygen storage, distribution, and delivery systems for both commercial and business jet aircraft. It has the capability to both produce all required components and to integrate overhead passenger service units with either chemical or gaseous oxygen equipment. Coffee Makers/Water Boilers, Ovens, and Refrigeration Equipment The company manufactures aircraft coffee and beverage makers. It manufactures a line of coffee makers, including the Endura beverage maker, coffee warmers, and water boilers; and a Combi Unit, which would both brew coffee and boil water for tea while utilizing 25% less electrical power than traditional 5,000-watt water boilers. The company also manufactures a cappuccino/espresso maker. The company also manufactures a line of specialized ovens, including convection ovens, steam ovens, and warming ovens. Its DS Steam Oven uses a method of preparing in-flight food by maintaining constant temperature and moisture in the food. The company’s DS Steam Oven addresses the airlines' need to provide a range of food offerings than could be prepared by convection ovens. The company is also engaged in the design, manufacture, and supply of commercial aircraft refrigeration equipment. It manufactures self-contained wine and beverage chillers, refrigerators/freezers, and galley air chilling systems. Modular Lavatory, Wastewater, and Galley Systems The company operates in the modular lavatory systems market. Its modular lavatory system utilizes its patented Spacewall technology, which frees up floor space in the cabin, creating the opportunity to add approximately six incremental passenger seats on each airplane. The company also operates in the vacuum wastewater system market. Its vacuum wastewater system incorporates a proprietary design, which eliminates the primary cause of failure, which plagues other vacuum systems. In addition, its systems include advanced proprietary components and systems. The company’s modular approach to the design of galley systems allows the airlines to select galley positions and configurations for their specific operational needs, while minimizing total aircraft system weight.
