As of December 31, 2014, the company had approximately 258,000 wireless subscribers. Network: The company’s GSM network operates in approximately 12 MHz of spectrum in the 900 MHz band and 36 MHz of spectrum in the 1800 MHz band. Sales and Marketing: The company markets its wireless services through widespread radio, television and outdoor advertising, sponsored events, and merchandise giveaways, as well as through its close, promotional relationships with major disc jockeys and radio personalities and other local celebrities. The company offers BlackBerry service in Guyana. The company offers its wireless postpaid subscribers various calling plans. International Integrated Telephony segment A portion of the company’s International Integrated Telephony segment consists of wireline services that the company provides in Guyana, where the company is the licensed provider of domestic wireline local and long-distance telephone services into and out of the country. As of December 31, 2014, the company had approximately 160,000 access lines in service, which represent both residential and commercial subscribers. Of all fixed lines in service, the majority are in the largest urban areas, including Georgetown, Linden, New Amsterdam, Diamond and Beterverwagting. The company also provides high-speed DSL Internet service in Guyana. As of December 31, 2014, the company had approximately 34,000 Internet customers. With respect to the company’s international long-distance business, it collects a payment from foreign carriers for handling international long-distance calls originating from the foreign carriers' country and terminating in Guyana. The company also makes payments to foreign carriers for international calls from Guyana terminating in the foreign carrier's country and is entitled to collect from its subscribers (and from competing wireless carriers) a rate that is regulated by the Public Utilities Commission of Guyana. Network: All of the company’s fixed access lines are digitally switched from its switching center in Georgetown, Guyana. The company’s international long-distance network is linked with the rest of the world principally through the company’s fiber-optic submarine cable into Guyana, through its ownership of a portion of the Americas II undersea fiber-optic cable and by leasing capacity on various other cables. The company also leases capacity on Intelsat satellites and has two Standard B earth stations, which provide both international and local backhaul services. U.S. Wireline segment The company provides competitive integrated voice and broadband data communications and wholesale transport services in Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire. Network: The company provides voice and data services using a network comprising telecommunications switching and related equipment that the company owns and telecommunications lines that it leases from the incumbent telephone company. The company operates high capacity fiber-optic ring networks in Vermont and New York State that it uses to connect it
