Yara International ASA provides industrial, environmental, and agricultural products in Norway and internationally. The company operates through three segments: Downstream, Industrial, and Upstream. It produces ammonia, urea, nitrates, and other nitrogen-based products; and calcium ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, calcium nitrate, and micronutrient chelates, as well as feed phosphates, feed acidifiers, and purified phosphoric acid. The company also offers nitrogen chemicals, including ammonia-derived products; carbon dioxide and dry ice; specialty chemicals based on blends of nitrates for the latex and rubber industry, concrete industry, and solar thermal power sector; and electronics chemicals. In addition, it offers solutions for NOx and SOx emission abatement, odor control, water treatment, and corrosion prevention; technical ammonium nitrate and calcium nitrate for use in the civil explosives and mining industries; and feed minerals, as well as fertilizer and crop nutrition programs. The company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Operating income was NOK 3,990 million against NOK 2,268 million a year ago. Earnings before interest expense and tax (EBIT) were NOK 3,474 million against NOK 2,568 million a year ago. Income before tax was NOK 1,294 million against NOK 2,407 million a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was NOK 729,000 or NOK 2.65 per share against NOK 1,773,000 or NOK 6.40 per share a year ago. Yara International ASA Proposes Dividend for the Year 2014

The Board of Directors of Yara International ASA has proposed to the Annual General Meeting a dividend payment of NOK 13 per share for 2014, which represents 47% of net income after non-controlling interests. Yara International ASA reported audited consolidated and parent company earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014 and consolidated operating results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, on consolidated basis, the company reported revenue of NOK 95,047 million compared to NOK 84,668 million a year ago. Revenue and other income was NOK 95,343 million compared to NOK 85,092 million a year ago. Operating profit was NOK 10,305 million compared to NOK 8,074 million a year ago. Earnings before interest expense and tax (EBIT) was NOK 11,642 million compared to NOK 9,563 million a year ago. Income before tax was NOK 10,035 million compared to NOK 7,711 million a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent was NOK 7,625 million or NOK 27.59 per share compared to NOK 5,759 million or NOK 20.67 per share a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was NOK 8,607 million compared to NOK 12,300 million a year ago. Net interest-bearing debt at year-end as on December 31, 2014 was NOK 11,808 million against NOK 3,378 million as on December 31, 2013. For the year, on parent company basis, the company had a net income of NOK 5,875 million in 2014, up from negative NOK 391 million in 2013, after dividends and group relief from subsidiaries of NOK 7,016 million (NOK 731 million in 2013). For the year, the company’s ammonia production was 7,096,000 tons against 7,360,000 tons a year ago. Finished fertilizer and industrial products, excl. bulk blends production was 18,828,000 tons against 18,649,000 tons a year ago. Total production was 25,924,000 tons against 26,009,000 tons a year ago.
