Amphenol Corporation Declares Quarterly Dividend Payable on or About October 2, 2015; Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Third Quarter and Full Year of 2015

Amphenol Corporation announced that the Board of Directors has approved an increase in the quarterly dividend from $0.125 to $0.14 per share to be paid on or about October 2, 2015 to holders of record of the company’s Class A common stock as of September 9, 2015. The company reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, net sales were $1,351.5 million against $1,314.2 million last year. Operating income was $260.7 million against $255.8 million last year. Income before income taxes was $247.8 million against $240.0 million last year. Net income attributable to Amphenol Corporation was $179.0 million or $0.56 per diluted share against $174.9 million or $0.54 per diluted share last year. The company reported diluted earnings per share excluding one-time items of $0.58 compared to $0.54 for the comparable 2014 period. Currency translation had the effect of decreasing sales by approximately $51 million in the second quarter of 2015 compared to the 2014 period. Sales growth was driven by increases in the automotive, mobile device, industrial, information technology and data communications and military markets. This growth was driven both organically and through the company’s successful acquisition program, and was partially offset by the negative impact of translation from the stronger dollar. Cash flow from operations was $235 million in the quarter or approximately 130% of net income. Net capital expenditures were $43 million. For the six months, net sales were $2,678.6 million against $2,560.2 million last year. Operating income was $520.9 million against $487.9 million last year. Income before income taxes was $495.1 million against $457.1 million last year. Net income attributable to Amphenol Corporation was $358.8 million or $1.13 per diluted share against $333.4 million or $1.03 per diluted share last year. Net cash provided by operating activities was $422.8 million against $383.3 million last year. Purchases of land and depreciable assets were $85.2 million against $105.9 million last year. Diluted earnings per share excluding one-time items were $1.15, compared to $1.04 for the comparable 2014 period. Currency translation had the effect of decreasing sales by approximately $101 million for the first six months of 2015 compared to the 2014 period. Based on current currency exchange rates, the company expects third quarter of 2015 sales in the range of $1.435 billion to $1.475 billion and diluted EPS (excluding one-time items) in the range of $0.64 to $0.66. For the full year of 2015, the company now expects to achieve sales in the range of $5.540 billion to $5.620 billion, an increase over 2014 in US dollars of 4% to 5%, in local currencies of 7% to 9% and organically (excluding the impact of currency translation and acquisitions) of 3% to 4%. The company expects diluted EPS of $2.43 to $2.47 for the full year of 2015, an increase of 8% to 10% over 2014 (excluding one-time items).
