Windstream Holdings, Inc. provides communications and technology solutions in the United States. The company offers managed services and cloud computing services to businesses, as well as broadband, voice, and video services to consumers primarily in rural markets. Its primary business service offerings include integrated voice and data services, multi-site networking, data center services, managed services, high-speed Internet, voice services, and carrier services. The company also sells and leases communications equipment systems customized to business customers’ needs, as well as offers maintenance plans to support these systems. In addition, it provides consumer broadband services consisting of high-speed Internet access, Internet security services, and online backup services; and consumer voice services consisting of basic local telephone services, long-distance services, and features, including call waiting, caller identification, call forwarding, and others. Further, the company offers consumer video services; owns and operates cable television franchises; and provides switched access services to long-distance companies and other local exchange carriers for access to network. Additionally, it sells home phones to support voice services, as well as equipment to support high-speed Internet and voice offerings, including broadband modems, home networking gateways, and personal computers. As of December 31, 2013, the company operated a network of approximately 118,000 of fiber optic plant in fiber backbone and local service areas, as well as 26 data centers. Windstream Holdings, Inc. is based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Windstream has named Matt Dement senior vice president of strategy, corporate development and financial planning & analysis. The appointment is effective Feb. 2, 2015. Dement will be responsible for the company's corporate development efforts and investment strategy, as well as the short-term and long-term financial forecasting process. Dement currently serves as a senior vice president in the communications and media group at Stephens Inc. During his 10-year tenure at Stephens, Dement advised on dozens of transactions with a combined transaction value of more than $30 billion. He has spent significant time on both buy-side and sell-side assignments, as well as performed other strategic advisory work for both public and private companies.

Windstream Announces Executive Changes, Effective February 2, 2015

Windstream announced the appointment of Lewis Langston as chief information officer. Langston succeeds Cindy Nash who is leaving the company to pursue other career interests. The changes are effective February 2, 2015. Langston served as chief information officer at Allied Wireless Communications Corporation from 2009 to 2013. Prior to joining Allied Wireless, Langston was executive vice president of process development and support at Alltel Corp. from 2003 to 2009.

Windstream Announces Two Senior Leadership Appointments

Windstream announced two senior leadership appointments. Kevin Halpin has been named as senior vice president of process development and improvement and will work with business unit leaders across the company to enhance the customer experience. Kristi Moody has been named as senior vice president of law and corporate secretary for the board of directors.
