WCI Communities, Inc. operates as a lifestyle community developer and luxury homebuilder in Florida. The company operates in three segments: Homebuilding, Real Estate Services, and Amenities. The Homebuilding segment designs, builds, and sells single and multi-family homes for move-up, second-home, and active adult buyers. The Real Estate Services segment provides real estate brokerage, and title insurance and settlement services comprising closing and escrow services to individuals, real estate companies, and independent mortgage lenders. This segment also acts as a title agent for various national underwriters. The Amenities segment constructs, owns, and manages recreational amenities comprising championship golf courses with clubhouses, fitness, spa, tennis and recreational facilities, walking trails, resort style pools, marinas, movie theaters, town centers, and various restaurants. As of December 31, 2014, the company owned approximately 271,000 square feet of amenity space and 57,000 square feet of sales office space in Florida. WCI Communities, Inc. was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida.

WCI Communities Inc. Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015

WCI Communities Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the qyarter, the company generated total revenues of $97.7 million, an increase of $23.9 million, or 32.4%, compared to $73.8 million in the first quarter of 2014. Compared to the prior year period, Homebuilding revenues grew 39.6%, Real Estate Services revenues were up 23.2%, and Amenities revenues increased by 8.2%. For the quarter ended March 31, 2015, net income attributable to common shareholders was $5.7 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, compared to $1.5 million and $0.06, respectively, in the prior year period. Income from operations before income taxes was $6,873,000 compared to $3,379,000 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was $29,951,000 compared to $17,576,000 a year ago. Additions to property and equipment was $193,000 compared to $875,000 a year ago. EBITDA was $9,161,000 compared to $5,211,000 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $10,032,000 compared to $5,658,000 a year ago. Net debt as at March 31, 2015 was $105,444,000 compared to $75,244,000 as at December 31, 2014.
