Saputo Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory Company Holdings Limited produces and sells dairy products in Australia and internationally. The company operates through three segments: Commodities, Consumer Goods, and Other. It offers full cream fresh milk, low fat milk, no fat milk, jersey milk, flavored milk, iced milk, and liteone products under the Sungold brand; cheese and milk products under the Great Ocean Road brand; and cheese and flavored cheddar cheeses, such as herbs 'n' spice, tomato 'n' chives, garlic 'n' pepper, cracked pepper, and chilli cheese under the Warrnambool Cheddars brand. The company also provides Enprocal, a protein supplement for elderly people in meeting their nutritional requirements; low fat cheddar, skim milk, gouda, romano, and emmental cheese products; skim milk powder for use in re-combined milk, bakery products, confectionery, infant formula, and dairy desserts; and whey protein concentrate powder, which is used in health products, sports drinks, nutritional health bars, as an ingredient in food processing, and as a meal replacement or supplement. In addition, it offers butter products, such as salted butter, unsalted butter, and butter blends with sugar, flour, and oils for use in bakery products, biscuit making, and confectionery; fresh and frozen cream products; and nutritional and functional ingredients. The company markets its products to wholesale and retail customers, as well as exports its products. Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory Company Holdings Limited was founded in 1888 and is headquartered in Allansford, Australia. Warrnambool Cheese & Butter Factory Company Holdings Limited reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue from continuing operations of $304,507,000 against $288,799,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax expense was $33,368,000 against $43,458,000 a year ago. Profit for the half-year was $25,043,000 against $31,254,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was $25,043,000 or 44.6 cents per share basic and diluted against $31,254,000 or 56.1 cents per share basic and diluted a year ago. Net cash inflow from operating activities was $26,047,000 against $18,790,000 a year ago. Payments for property, plant & equipment was $6,912,000 against $13,579,000 a year ago. Adjusted EBIT was $25,933,000 against $43,383,000 a year ago. EBIT was $34,593,000 against $45,504,000 a year ago. The company reported a half year net profit was 19.9% lower than the profit of $31.25 million a year ago because the company changed its accounting treatment of raw milk costs. If the company had not made the accounting change, profit for the six months to December 31 would have increased to $38.6 million. The decline in international commodity pricing has slowed significantly and softer international pricing is being partially offset by the considerable depreciation of the Australian dollar. The company provided earnings guidance for the balance of the financial year 2015. The company expects that its outlook for the balance of the financial year is cautiously optimistic.

Warrnambool Cheese And Butter Factory Company Holdings Limited announced that Mr. Kai Bockmann, currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Saputo Inc.'s Dairy Division (International), will assume the leadership role in WCB as WCB's President and Chief Operating Officer, effective on April 1, 2015. The company had previously announced that WCB's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. David Lord, would be stepping down from his current position as of April 1, 2015. Furthermore, WCB's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. William Hannah, has announced the company that he will be stepping down from his current position as of July 1, 2015. Mr. Hannah will continue in his current functions until such date. On such date, Mr. Paul Moloney, currently Company Secretary, will be appointed as Vice President, Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary and will report to Mr. Bockmann. Finally, Mr. Richard Wallace, currently General Manager ­ Operations, has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of WCB, effective as of January 5, 2015. Mr. Wallace will continue reporting to Mr. Lord until April 1, 2015 and subsequently to Mr. Bockmann. In his new role, Mr. Wallace will oversee operations, milk supply, domestic sales, human resources and corporate development.
