The company was formerly known as Lafarge Cement WAPCO Nigeria Plc and changed its name to Lafarge Afrcia Plc in August 2014. The company was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Lafarge Africa Plc is a subsidiary of Lafarge SA.

Profit after tax was NGN 35 billion.
