VTB reported earnings results for the month January, February, March and first quarter ended March 2015. For the month January, the company reported net interest loss of RUB 3.75 billion. For the month February, the company reported net interest loss of RUB 200 million. For the month March, the company reported profit of RUB 15.5 billion. For the first quarter, the company reported net loss of RUB 5 billion. In first quarter of 2014, the company had net profit of RUB 5.7 billion. VTB Bank and Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Support and Strengthen Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank

VTB Bank and Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding to support and strengthen the role and potential of jointly owned Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank. OAO VTB Bank and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment & Development of Vietnam April 7 that they signed a memorandum of understanding to support and strengthen the role and potential of jointly owned Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank. The agreement follow comprehensive cooperation between their countries, such as expanding the use of local currencies to facilitate bilateral payment and enhancing the financial capacity of VTB and BIDV's Vietnam-based joint venture. The two banks agreed to research, develop and report to the competent Russian and Vietnamese authorities for approval of a payment channel to support the import and export activities between the two countries. The two agreed to use their joint venture as an intermediary bank for the payment channel. VTB and BIDV will set up a joint working group and agree on a specific schedule in April, with the aim of making payments in the two countries' currencies as soon as possible. The joint venture will also become the main bank in credit, factoring, foreign exchange, guarantees and other financial and banking operations involving Russia and Vietnam. The first results of the implementation of the memorandum will be reviewed in May.
