VSE Corporation operates as a diversified sustainment and services company in the United States. The company’s Supply Chain Management Group segment offers sourcing, acquisition, scheduling, transportation, shipping, logistics, data management, and other services to assist its clients with supply chain management. This segment supplies vehicle parts through a managed inventory program to the United States Postal Service (USPS) truck fleet, other projects to support the USPS, managed inventory services and parts sales to support commercial client truck fleets, and part sales to Department of Defense. Its Aviation Group segment offers provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services; parts supply and distribution; and supply chain solutions for general aviation jet aircraft engines and jet aircraft engine accessories. This segment serves corporate and private aircraft owners, regional airlines, aviation manufacturers, other aviation MRO providers, cargo transporters, and agricultural clients. The company’s Federal Services Group segment provides foreign military sales services and refurbishment services to extend and enhance the life of existing vehicles and equipment; fleet-wide ship and aircraft support; aircraft sustainment and maintenance; and other technical, management, engineering, logistics, maintenance, configuration management, prototyping, technology, and field support services to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, U.S. Army and Army Reserve, U.S. Air Force, and other customers. Its IT, Energy and Management Consulting Group segment offers technical and consulting services primarily to the United States Department of Defense and various federal civilian agencies. VSE Corporation was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.

VSE Corporation Wins $37 million USMC AAV Equipment Support Task Order

VSE Corporation was recently awarded a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) task order under its SeaPort-e contract vehicle to support the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, VA. This task order has a period of performance that includes a six-month base period and four one-year options with a total value of $37 million. This award represents an increase in contract value, scope, and capabilities to work currently performed by VSE. Under this task order VSE will provide program management, engineering technical support, maintenance services, test and evaluation, logistics support, and vehicle and equipment storage for the USMC Product Manager Assault Amphibious Vehicles (PdM AAV) for the Equipment Maintenance Test Support (EMTS) Program. Throughout the period of performance, VSE will support the Product Manager (PdM) for the AAV test vehicles located at AAV Maintenance Facility at Green Road, Ruther Glen, VA and multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. Maintaining and testing the PdM AAV vehicles is the first step in moderizing the AAV Family of Vehicles (FOV) since the Marine Corps has extended the service life of the AAV to 2035.

VSE Corporation reported unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. Revenues were $131,126,000 compared to $107,962,000 in the second quarter of 2014. Operating income was $11,496,000 compared to $10,703,000 a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $5,479,000 or $1.02 per diluted share, compared to $5,944,000 or $1.11 per diluted share million for the last year. Net income was $5,479,000 or $1.02 per diluted share, compared to $5,665,000 or $1.06 per diluted share a year ago. For the six months, revenues were $251,917,000 compared to $227,371,000 in the second quarter of 2014. Operating income was $22,180,000 compared to $22,060,000 a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $10,699,000 or $1.99 per diluted share, compared to $12,213,000 or $2.28 per diluted share million for the last year. Net income was $10,699,000 or $1.99 per diluted share, compared to $11,319,000 or $2.11 per diluted share a year ago. Operating income increases resulted from growth in the Supply Chain Management Group and the addition of the Aviation Group.

Mikros Systems Corporation Purchases Software Products and Related Assets from VSE Corporation

Mikros Systems Corporation announced that it has recently purchased certain software products, intellectual property and related assets from VSE Corporation. The primary software programs purchased by Mikros are the Prognostics Framework (PF) and Diagnostic Profiler (DP) programs. The new software products provide Mikros with the opportunity to service commercial customers and additional Department of Defense customers outside the Navy. The Diagnostic Profiler software is used worldwide by several multinational companies for optimized maintenance of diverse product lines. Diagnostic Profiler is also used by the U.S. Air Force for depot test programs, and Prognostics Framework is used by the U.S. Army for several missile defense systems.
