Village Roadshow Limited engages in the theme park and water park operation, film and DVD distribution, and cinema exhibition businesses in Australia. The company operates through Theme Parks, Film Distribution, and Cinema Exhibition segments. It owns and operates theme parks on Queensland's Gold Coast, Australia; and water parks in Hawaii and Phoenix, Arizona, as well as in Sydney and Las Vegas. Its theme parks and water parks provide entertainment, rides, and slides for families and thrill seekers. The company also co-produces and co-finances feature length commercial motion pictures for exhibition in international theatrical markets and for worldwide release in various international media, including home video, DVD, and pay and free television. As of June 30, 2015, it operated 538 screens at 52 sites in Australia, 91 screens at 11 sites in Singapore, 81 screens at 11 sites in the United States, and 12 screens at a site in the United Kingdom. In addition, the company distributes theatrical movies to cinema, pay television, and free to air television in Australia and New Zealand; theatrical, television, and children's content for electronic sell and transactional video-on-demand through iTunes, Foxtel, Telstra Bigpond, Google, YouTube, and other online platforms, as well as provides ultraviolet capability on theatrical and television releases across DVD, Blu-ray, and digital transactions; and holds distribution rights for various movies. The company was formerly known as De Laurentis Entertainment Limited and changed its name to Village Roadshow Limited in 1998. Village Roadshow Limited was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in South Yarra, Australia. Village Roadshow Limited is a subsidiary of Village Roadshow Corporation Pty. Limited.

Village Roadshow Limited Announces Management Changes

As noted in the Chairman's Address to the company's Annual General Meeting, Village Roadshow Limited confirms that Dr. Peter D. Jonson has retired as a director of the company at the conclusion of such meeting. In addition, as advised in the Chairman's Address, the company has appointed Ms. Jennifer Fox Gambrell as a Director of the company. Ms. Fox will join the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Ms. Fox is currently President of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and President FRHI International, overseeing the luxury brand's global hotel portfolio including Raffles, Fairmont and Swissôtel in all international markets outside North America. Ms. Fox has over 25 years of experience in the luxury, resort and business segments of the hospitality industry having formerly held the office of Chief Operating Officer, Europe and Senior Vice President Global Brand management for InterContinental Hotels Group, as well as having held several senior management roles at Starwood/Sheraton. Ms. Fox has worked and lived in the United States, Asia, Europe, Canada and Australia and brings a wealth of connections in the hospitality, media and investment communities. Village Roadshow has also taken the opportunity to restructure the Board's various Committees, with the Corporate Governance Committee from assuming the duties of the Nomination Committee.
