Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells automobiles primarily in Europe, North America, South America, and the Asia-Pacific. The company operates through four segments: Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Power Engineering, and Financial Services. The Passenger Cars segment develops vehicles and engines; and produces and sells passenger cars and genuine parts. The Commercial Vehicles segment develops, produces, and sells light commercial vehicles, and trucks and buses, as well as offers parts and related services. The Power Engineering segment develops and produces large-bore diesel engines, turbo compressors, industrial turbines, and chemical reactor systems, as well as produces gear units, population components, and testing systems. The Financial Services segment offers dealer and customer financing, leasing, banking and insurance, fleet management, and mobility services. It also offers motorcycles. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft provides its products under the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, ŠKODA, SEAT, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania, and MAN brand names, as well as financial services under the Volkswagen Financial Services brand name. The company has strategic alliance with Daimler AG to produce Crafter. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft is headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany.

Volkswagen announced that the management board would propose increasing the 2014 dividend to shareholders to EUR 4.80 per ordinary share and EUR 4.86 per preferred share.

Volkswagen Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal 2015

Volkswagen reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported its bottom-line net profit jumped by 19.6% to EUR 10.85 billion (USD 12.2 billion) in 2014 from EUR 9.066 billion a year ago. Underlying or operating profit was up 8.8% at EUR 12.70 billion against EUR 11.67 billion a year ago. Revenues climbed by 2.8% to EUR 202.5 billion from EUR 197.007 billion a year ago. Profit before tax was EUR 14.79 billion against EUR 12.43 billion a year ago. Basic earnings for ordinary and preferred shares were EUR 21.84 and EUR 21.90, respectively compared to EUR 18.61 and EUR 18.67, respectively a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was EUR 21.59 billion against EUR 20.61 million a year ago. The company expects deliveries to increase moderately in the whole of 2015 and depending on economic conditions, sales revenue to increase by up to 4.0% year-on-year. In terms of the group's operating profit, the company anticipates an operating return on sales of between 5.5% and 6.5% in 2015 in light of the challenging economic environment. The operating return on sales is expected to be in the 6.0% and 7.0% range in the passenger cars business area and between 2.0% and 4.0% in the commercial vehicles/power engineering business area.

Volkswagen AG to Launch New Concept Vehicle at Geneva Motor Show

Volkswagen AG is launching a new concept vehicle at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to open next week. The automaker has not decided on a name for the vehicle. It is reported to preview the second generation of the CC, or a new coupe that will fit into the company's range above the CC. The model features a wide radiator grille with horizontal slats, a narrow air vent at the bottom of the bumper and a sculpted bonnet. It is equipped with a petrol-electric plug-in hybrid engine that uses a TSI four-cylinder engine and two electric motors that provide all-wheel drive.
