Additionally, it offers spare parts, rental services, preventive maintenance, and assistance services. The company provides its products and services through wholly-owned and independent dealers, and service workshops. AB Volvo (publ) was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Torslanda, Sweden.

AB Volvo Reports Sales Results for the Month of July 2015

AB Volvo reported sales results for the month of July 2015. The company reported that deliveries from the its truck operations in July 2015 amounted to 15,586 vehicles. This was reportedly on the same level as in July 2014. In July 2015, truck deliveries rose by 27% in Asia and by 5% in Europe. Also, during the month, deliveries in South America were down by 34%, while deliveries rose by 1% in North America.

AB Volvo announced deliveries for the month and year to date ended July 2015. For the month, truck operations form Total Volvo Group amounted to 12,722 vehicles compared to 2,477 a year ago. Total trucks deliveries was 15,586 vehicles compared to 15,410 vehicles a year ago. For the year to date, truck operations form Total Volvo Group amounted to 81,365 vehicles compared to 17,782 a year ago. Total trucks deliveries was 119,525 vehicles compared to 116,478 vehicles a year ago.

Volvo and Geely Launch China Euro Vehicle Technology Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden

Volvo and Geely have launched the China Euro Vehicle Technology centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The CEVT will be mainly responsible for designing a highly modular platform that will create a range of relatively small Volvo and Geely models. Engineers from both firms will be able to stretch the platform in all directions, and they will be able to dial in specific levels of performance, noise and vibrations. The facility's engineers will develop mechanical components, too, including engines, transmissions, all-wheel drive systems and hybrid drivetrains.
