NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced the new Mantra RF portfolio – a family of high-performance transceivers and receivers for secure car access and vehicle management. The chip family offers a long-range, two-way RF link that enables robust bi-directional communication between key fob and car over a distance of several hundred meters. Car keys with Mantra enable users to conveniently check the fuel, battery levels, and latest maintenance data from a distance. Car owners can also verify if the doors and windows are locked, remotely operate the locks, start the car and pre-set the car's temperature. Designed for the mid-to-high-end car access market, the Mantra family offers very high sensitivity and blocking performance for improved robustness against radio jamming and undisturbed signal reception. This multi-channel reception ensures that no signals are missed, offering very high system robustness at very low power consumption. Key features includes multi-channel transceiver and receiver solutions; single IC for bands (315, 345, 426, 434, 447, 868, 915, 950 MHz); simultaneous reception of up to three channels in parallel; two RF inputs allowing sequential antenna diversity; low receiver power consumption; flexible customization at ultra-low power with the programmable µC core; high-performance, low-noise front end. NXP Semiconductors NV Announces Complete Automotive Ethernet Product Portfolio

NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced its new product portfolio for automotive Ethernet. The portfolio builds on BroadR-ReachTM " an automotive standard defined by the OPEN Alliance industry group, with the aim to make consumer-level Ethernet capable of meeting the automotive industry's stringent requirements. Product samples are immediately available, and Ethernet transceivers will begin production in fourth quarter. Ethernet is expected to provide the network backbone for autonomous driving and connected vehicles, as it is capable of the high data bandwidth, communications speed, weight reduction, and cost efficiency that future connected cars require. NXP's modular approach with switch and transceiver allows for flexible and cost efficient combinations, enabling automakers to build optimal solutions for a wide range of networking architectures from entry-level cars to high-end luxury vehicles. This will also pave the way for new, distributed networking architectures in the future. The adoption of Ethernet is quickly accelerating with the rise of secure connected cars and the subsequent high demands for data transport. Transceivers TJA1100: Compliant to OPEN Alliance BroadR-Reach™ (OABR) standard (IEEE: 100BASE-T1); Designed following an automotive development flow; Form factor: 6x6mm² HVQFN package with minimal external component count; Supports low-power modes to save battery life; and to Automotive grade ESD and EMC. NXP has developed the Automotive Ethernet Switch SJA1105 in close cooperation with TTTech [7], a global leader in the field of robust networking and safety controls. The switch uses Deterministic Ethernet technology to guarantee message latency in applications such as autonomous driving, where deterministic communication is vital for reasons of operational efficiency or functional safety. Deterministic Ethernet supports the trend toward increasing bandwidth requirements of up to one gigabit, while ensuring high reliability in networked control systems and high availability in fail-operational applications. It comprises several standards including Ethernet (IEEE 802.3), Time-Triggered Ethernet (SAE AS6802) as well as Audio Video Bridging (AVB) and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN). Digital Switch SJA1105: 5 Port automotive Ethernet Switch supporting network speed up to one gigabit; Layer 2 Store and Forward Switch; MII /RMII /RGMII Interface; Port Mirroring and VLAN support (IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1P); AVB and TSN support; Enables Deterministic Ethernet solutions; Compliant to SAE AS6802 TTEthernet fault-tolerant clock synchronization; and Virtual Link, Scalable, flexible and cost optimized configuration based on single and dual Port PHYs. NXP Ethernet transceivers TJA1100 are available in prototype samples and will enter mass production before the end of the year. NXP Semiconductors NV Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter Ended July 5, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Third Quarter of 2015

NXP Semiconductors N.V. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter ended July 5, 2015. For the quarter, the company's revenue was $1,506 million compared to $1,349 million a year ago. Income before taxes was $334 million against $189 million a year ago. Operating income was $332 million compared to $249 million a year ago. Net income attributable to stockholders was $300 million compared to $159 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was $1.23 compared to $0.64 a year ago. Non-GAAP net income attributable to stockholders was $351 million compared to $273 million a year ago. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share was $1.44 compared to $1.09 a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $418 million compared to $334 million a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $351 million against $242 million a year ago. Purchase of identified intangible assets was $4 million against $9 million a year ago. Capital expenditures on property, plant and equipment was $91 million against $89 million a year ago. EBITDA was $431 million against $353 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $482 million against $391 million a year ago. Net debt was $2.6 billion at July 5, 2015. For the third quarter of 2015, the company expects total revenue is to be in range of $1,525 million to $1,575 million, non-GAAP gross margin is to be in range Of 48.5% to 49%, non-GAAP operating income is to be in range of $424 million to $448 million, non-GAAP net income is to be in range of $353 million to $377 million and non - GAAP EPS is to be in range of $1.45 to $1.55.
