Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells automobiles primarily in Europe, North America, South America, and the Asia-Pacific. The company operates through four segments: Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, Power Engineering, and Financial Services. The Passenger Cars segment develops vehicles and engines; and produces and sells passenger cars and genuine parts. The Commercial Vehicles segment develops, produces, and sells light commercial vehicles, and trucks and buses, as well as offers parts and related services. The Power Engineering segment develops and produces large-bore diesel engines, turbo compressors, industrial turbines, and chemical reactor systems, as well as produces gear units, propulsion components, and testing systems. The Financial Services segment offers dealer and customer financing, leasing, banking and insurance, fleet management, and mobility services. It also offers motorcycles. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft provides its products under the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, ŠKODA, SEAT, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania, and MAN brand names, as well as financial services under the Volkswagen Financial Services brand name. The company has a co-operation with Daimler AG to produce Crafter delivery van. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft is based in Wolfsburg, Germany.

Volkswagen Communications Announces Executive Changes

Dominik Hoberg (44) takes over as Head of global Product Communications at the Volkswagen brand effective October 1. A qualified lawyer, Hoberg has held responsibility for communications at the SEAT brand since 2009, having previously headed communications at Lamborghini. Hoberg succeeds Pietro Zollino (48). Zollino takes over this function from Peter Thul (52), who was appointed Head of Volkswagen Brand Communications effective July 1. Thul reports to Stephan Grühsem, Head of Group Communications, External Relations and Investor Relations. In his new function, Thul is the press spokesperson for Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Volkswagen Brand Board of Management.

Suzuki Motor To Buy Back Shares Of Volkswagen

Suzuki Motor Corporation (TSE:7269) announced that it plans to buy back its shares sold to Volkswagen AG (XTRA:VOW3) after an international arbitration court settled a dispute between the two automakers.
