Vitec Software Group AB reported unaudited consolidated and parent earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, net sales amounted to SEK 141.5 million against SEK 92.8 million last year, which represents an increase of 53%. Operating profit before acquisition-related costs was SEK 23.3 million against SEK 9.4 million last year. Operating profit after acquisition-related costs was SEK 23.3 million against SEK 9.4 million last year. Profit before tax was SEK 22.1 million against SEK 9.2 million last year. Profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company amounted to SEK 18.8 million against SEK 7.2 million last year. Earnings per share after dilution were SEK 3.09 against SEK 1.28 last year. Cash flow from current operations was SEK 38.2 million against SEK 10.0 million last year. Acquisition of intangible assets and capitalized development costs was SEK 17.4 million against SEK 7.9 million last year. Acquisition of tangible assets was SEK 3.2 million against SEK 9.7 million last year. For the year, on consolidated basis, net sales amounted to SEK 492.0 million against SEK 371.6 million last year, which represents an increase of 32%. Profit before tax was SEK 36.7 million against SEK 26.4 million last year. Net profit was SEK 36.9 million against SEK 26.0 million last year. For the year, on parent basis, net sales amounted to SEK 57.3 million against SEK 49.8 million last year. Operating loss was SEK 4.3 million against operating profit of SEK 6.3 million last year. Profit before tax was SEK 31.4 million against SEK 28.8 million last year. Net profit was SEK 31.5 million against SEK 27.9 million last year.

Vitec Signs SEK 8.5 Million Multiannual Contract with Länsförsäkringar

Vitec has signed an agreement with Länsförsäkringar Fondliv for the supply and maintenance of a new pension and insurance schemes. The contract is worth approximately SEK 8.5 million during the first three years. The new software includes functions for calculations of retirement, disability and survivor benefits. In addition to Sweden's public pension system is also supports a dozen occupational pension agreements.

VITEC Unveils New Connectivity Features for Focus FS-T2001

VITEC has announced the availability of new connectivity features for its Focus FS-T2001 Media Recorder. The new software (v1.2.1) increases Ethernet capabilities for easier remote and collaborative network and wireless workflows. With this new update users can seamlessly access clips over the network without the need of touching the unit, edit and write back the clip onto the internal HDD or SxS cards for later playback by FS-T2001. New features of FS-T2001 include: ultra-fast Ethernet transfer speed for smooth rendering and edit of clips over the network; write access enabled to the internal HDD directly from NLE; playback of NLE edited clips directly from FS-T2001; web interface for remote control (HTTP API available with new units and upon request for integration with customer application); and Wi-Fi support for remote control (with VITEC Wi-Fi dongle). "This new software brings recorder to a higher level within the broadcast market. It seamlessly allows integration and remote collaboration over the network and helps simplify media management while reducing operational cost for broadcasters" said Richard Bernard, Product Manager of Recorder Solutions for VITEC. The Focus FS-T2001 is a broadcast field deck media recorder for XDCAM workflow and incorporates the complete range of Sony professional formats including HD422 50Mbps and XDCAM EX/HD. The FS-T2001 supports removable professional media SxSPro/SxS-1 and SDHC cards. This flexible, field deck/media recorder also incorporates a 250GB internal hard drive for live recording/playback or clip backup allowing storage of more than 10 recording hours in HD422 50 Mbps. The Focus FS-T2001 Portable HD/SD Media Recorder provides: HD/SD Field deck for record and playback; support for XDCAM workflow: HD422 50Mbps (MXF) /HD420 (MP4/MXF); internal Hard Drive for more than 10 hours of recording in HD422 50Mbps; and USB, Giga-bit Ethernet connections for clip access and remote control (SMB or FTP access). The Focus FS-T2001 Portable HD/SD Media Recorder is compatible with SxS Pro/Pro+ SxS-1, SDHC card with adaptor.
