Veidekke ASA Enters into Agreement with Fabege to Build SEB Building

Veidekke ASA announced that it has entered into an agreement with Fabege to continue cooperation on building SEB's new offices at Solna in Stockholm. On 4 November 2014, Veidekke reported that the contract for the first stage, which involved planning, had been signed. The contract that now has been signed is stage two and concerns erection of the building. The value of the contract is estimated at around SEK 1.7 billion. The building will be brough into use by SEB in two stages with completion scheduled for 2018.

Veidekke ASA to Build Ice Rink and Multi-Purpose Hall at Frogner Stadium

Veidekke ASA has been contracted by the Agency for City Environment in the City of Oslo to develop and build a new indoor ice rink and multi-purpose hall in close proximity to the venerable Frogner Stadium at Majorstua in Oslo. The contract will be carried out as a collaborative contract between the Agency for City Environment and Veidekke Entreprenor. The target price for the contract will not be available until completion of the feasibility study in the autumn, but the value of the contract will be more than NOK 100 million excluding VAT. The project Frogner ice rink and multi-purpose hall is the final component in a major development of Frogner Stadium. The new buildings will comprise: Ice rink with dressing rooms and operations areas close to 3,000 m2 gross area in size; Multi-purpose hall with dressing rooms and operations areas close to 2,000 m2 gross area in size. This is planned to be completely subterranean in order to minimize the volume of buildings above ground. A joint intermediary building with entrance, offices, common rooms, meeting rooms, cafe/dining approx. 750 m2 gross area in size. The project is a model project in FutureBuilt - where the goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% in the areas of transport, energy use and material use. The model project will have a high architectural quality and contribute to a good city environment. Existing and new technical facilities will be coordinated in order to provide uniform and energy efficient operation of the sports facilities in the Frogner Park. The environmental requirements will be documented by BREEAM Nor. Development of the current concept starts immediately, while actual construction will start in the spring of 2016. The buildings will be ready for use in the autumn of 2017.

Veidekke ASA Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015

Veidekke ASA reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, revenue was NOK 4,967 million against NOK 5,306 million a year ago. EBITDA was NOK 67 million against NOK 110 million a year ago. LBIT was NOK 19 million against EBIT of NOK 28 million a year ago. Loss before tax was NOK 13 million against profit before tax of NOK 40 million a year ago. Loss after tax was NOK 10 million against profit after tax of NOK 31 million a year ago. Loss per share was NOK 0.1 against earnings per share of NOK 0.2 a year ago. The results for the first quarter were lower than for the same quarter the previous year, primarily due to the fact that last year's figures included development gains from the sale of a major residential project in Sweden. Revenue decline was largely due to lower activity in civil engineering operations in Norway, combined with the fact that the previous year's first quarter revenue included income from the sale of a residential project. Cash flow used in operating activities was NOK 351 million against cash flow from operating activities of NOK 234 million a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was NOK 86 million against NOK 72 million a year ago. Net interest-bearing position was NOK 241 million as on March 31, 2015 against NOK 397 million as on March 31, 2014.
