It also offers asset management services, such as term deposits, structured and fund investments, and securities and custody business services; real estate funds for private investors and real estate special funds for institutional investors; consulting services; and money market, and securities and derivatives trading services, as well as refinancing production and sale services, and hedging products. In addition, the company provides structured, fixed income, equity, and alpha investments, as well as retirement investment plans; various leasing services comprising car, transport, IT, equipment, and medical technology, as well as construction and transport leasing products; and stock market services. It primarily serves individuals, SMEs, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and farmers. The company was founded in 1922 and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft is a subsidiary of Volksbanken Holding eGen.

Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft announced consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. Net interest income amounted to EUR 32 million in the first quarter of 2015, down EUR 19 million against EUR 50 million a year ago. The decline in net interest income is mainly attributable to the lack of net interest income from former subsidiaries as a result of the sale in 2014. Income was EUR 2 million was recognized in the first quarter of 2015 from risk provisioning. That represents a decline of EUR 13 million compared with the previous year.

Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft announced earnings results for the full year ended December 31, 2014. The pretax result for the VBAG Group as at 31 December 2014 was €466 million, and the consolidated result after taxes and minority interests €500 million. Net interest income grew by €14 million to reach €203 million at year end. Net fee and commission income fell slightly, primarily as a result of the winding down measures in the noncore business. It stood at €20 million as at 31 December 2014. At €27 million, net trading income was up on the previous year. Income from financial investments totalled €46 million in the reporting period.
