VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG announced group earnings results for the nine months of fiscal year 2015. The company reported an increase of EBITDA to EUR 38.1 million compared to EUR 28.9 million a year ago. The company reported an increase in EBIT to EUR 21.5 million compared to EUR 12.4 million in the first nine months of the current financial year 2014/2015. Net debt decreased further to EUR 9.9 million. The group's sales revenues fell by 22% to EUR 447.4 million compared to EUR 573.1 million for the corresponding period in the previous year. The fall was primarily due to the lower price levels for biofuels and to the lower level of merchandise revenues from fossil and biofuel trading. The group result before taxes (EBT) totaled EUR 18.1 million compared to EUR 9.7 million a year ago, and the net result for the period is EUR 16.6 million compared to EUR 8.7 million a year ago. Based on the result for the period, earnings per share (basic and diluted) is EUR 0.26 compared to EUR 0.14 a year ago. The company revised earnings guidance for the fiscal year of 2015. For the full financial year 2015 the management board currently expects EBITDA to be between EUR 48 million and EUR 52 million and EBIT to be in the range of EUR 26 million and EUR 30 million. In its most recent previous forecast the company had expected EBITDA of between EUR 36 million and EUR 44 million and EBIT of between EUR 14 million and EUR 22 million. The company expects to archive the best operating result in financial year 2015 since going public.

VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG Announces Group Earnings and Operating Results for the First Half of 2015; Proposes Dividend for the Fiscal 2015

VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG announced group earnings and operating results for the first half of 2015. The group's revenues for the period fell by 27% to EUR 307.8 million compared to against EUR 420.2 million a year ago. The fall was primarily a result of the lower price levels for biofuels and the lower level of merchandise revenues from fossil and biofuel trading. Earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 25.9 million, EUR 4.4 million (20%) more than in the comparative period in the previous year of EUR 21.5 million. The group's earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) increased by 40%, totaling EUR 14.7 million against EUR 10.5 million a year ago. The group's net result before taxes (EBT) totals EUR 13.0 million against EUR 8.8 million a year ago. The net result for the period is EUR 11.8 million against EUR 7.9 million a year ago. Based on the result for the period, earnings per share (basic and diluted) were EUR 0.19 against EUR 0.13 a year ago. The primary drivers of earnings growth were the increased sales quantities, resulting from higher production capacity usage, as well as effective efficiency improvements in the Bioethanol segment. The company reported production of biodiesel and bioethanol in the period from July 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014 was 343,248 tons, an increase of 11% over the 309,417 tons produced in the same period of the previous year. In addition, a total of 227.5 GWh of biomethane was produced in the first half of the 2015 financial year against 132.5 GWh in 2014, an increase of 72% compared to the equivalent period of the previous year. The company provided current business trends continue, and provided that all statutory conditions are fulfilled, the payment of a dividend for the 2014/2015 financial year in a range of between 5 and 10 cents per share is considered possible.
