UOA Development Bhd Recommends First and Final Single Tier Dividend for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

The Board of Directors of UOA Development Bhd announced that the Board has recommended a first and final single tier dividend of 13 sen per ordinary share of MYR 0.05 each in respect of the year ended December 31, 2014. The Proposed Dividend shall be subject to the approval of the Company's shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the Company.

UOA Development Bhd Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended December 31, 2014

UOA Development Bhd reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 333,750,000 against MYR 352,051,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 129,628,000 against MYR 169,488,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was MYR 97,687,000 against MYR 92,633,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 88,402,000 against MYR 88,563,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 6.18 sen against 6.61 sen a year ago. The lower profit was mainly due to the absence of project completion compared to the immediate preceding quarter where there were two projects completed which gave rise to a higher profit recognition. The slightly lower revenue was achieved based on the progressive recognition from the sale of Desa Green, South View Serviced Apartments, The Vertical Office Suites, Scenaria@North Kiara Hills, Southbank Residence and Desa Sentul. Profit after tax for the quarter decreased slightly to MYR 88.40 million from MYR 88.56 million in the previous year bringing the year-to-date profit after tax to MYR 316.12 million. For the year, the company reported revenue of MYR 1,077,849,000 against MYR 1,245,502,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 460,704,000 against MYR 577,914,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was MYR 356,840,000 against MYR 405,682,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 316,122,000 against MYR 362,832,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 22.89 sen against 27.94 sen a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was MYR 126,812,000 against MYR 255,728,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 17,087,000 against MYR 8,763,000 a year ago. Purchase of land held for property development was MYR 174,976,000 against MYR 8,720,000 a year ago. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 349,855,000 against MYR 215,988,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 159,492,000 against MYR 111,174,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 102,883,000 against MYR 76,526,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 7.28 sen against 5.83 sen a year ago. The Group's revenue and profit attributable to the company were mainly derived from the progressive recognition of the Group's on-going development projects namely Desa Green, Vertical Office Suites, Scenaria @ North Kiara Hills, South View Serviced Apartments, Southbank Residence and the recently completed Le Yuan Residence and Desa Eight Condominiums. The higher profit was mainly due to higher sales and profit attributable from its on-going projects in the current quarter. For the nine months, the company reported revenue of MYR 744,099,000 against MYR 893,451,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 331,076,000 against MYR 408,426,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was MYR 227,720,000 against MYR 274,269,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share were 16.69 sen against 21.35 sen a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was MYR 65,841,000 against net cash generated from operating activities of MYR 325,145,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 15,260,000 against 5,431,000 a year ago. Purchase of land held for property development was MYR 8,698,000 against MYR 1,772,000 a year ago.
