The company’s Wealth Management division provides financial services to wealthy private clients. This division offers investment management solutions and wealth planning and corporate finance advisory services, as well as a range of specific offerings. Its Wealth Management Americas division provides advice-based solutions and banking services through financial advisors to ultra high net worth and high net worth individuals and families. This division operates domestic United States and Canadian business, as well as international business booked in the United States. The company’s Retail & Corporate division offers financial products and services to retail, corporate, and institutional clients. Its Global Asset Management division offers investment products and services comprising equities, fixed income, multi-asset and currency strategies, as well as alternative investments, including hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and private equity funds to third-party institutional and wholesale clients, and clients of wealth management businesses. The company’s Investment Bank division provides client coverage, advisory, debt and equity capital market, and financing solutions for corporate, financial institutions, sponsor clients, and wealth management businesses. This division also provides cross-asset research services, as well as access to equities, foreign exchange, precious metals, and selected rates and credit markets through its business units, corporate client solutions and investor client services. UBS Group AG was founded in 1862 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Morgan Stanley Reportedly Eyeing UBS Division

UBS Group AG (SWX:UBSN) is said to be planning to sell operations. UBS Global Asset Management has reportedly said that the business is up for review and sources in the market have been speculating that Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) would be an interested buyer, should it be divested. The news report mentioned that despite some suggestions that Bell Potter Securities Limited could be a suitor for the UBS division, this is now thought to be unlikely. Talk in the market previously suggested that a management buyout could be on the cards for the business.

UBS AG Plans to Open Blockchain Research Lab in London

UBS AG has announced a plan to open a blockchain research lab in London. The aim of the lab will be to find how blockchain technology can be used in financial services. The lab is to be located at the Canary Wharf-based fintech accelerator space, Level 39.

UBS Group AG Announces Management Changes; Proposes Dividend for the Year 2014

UBS Group AG annual general meeting (AGM) in Basel will for the first time be able to decide on compensation for members of the board of directors (bod) and group executive board (GEB). In addition, Helmut Panke will step down from the board. Jes Staley will be nominated for election to the board. Zurich/Basel, 1 April 2015 - Helmut Panke will be leaving the board at this year's AGM due to regulatory provisions regarding the term of office. He has been a member of the UBS board since 2004 and a member of both the Human Resources and Compensation Committee (HRCC) and the Risk Committee since 2008. The board would like to thank him for his valuable contribution. As previously announced, the board intends to nominate Jes Staley as a new member of the board for a one-year term. If elected, he will also stand for election to the HRCC, as is the case for all other members of this committee. In addition it is expected that he will be nominated as a member of the Risk Committee. The company board proposed a dividend to shareholders of CHF 0.50 per share for the financial year 2014. This is double the previous year's dividend, and represents 55% of the Group's reported net profit for 2014 at the annual general meeting to be held on May 07, 2015.
