The company’s Benefits segment provides benefits consulting and administration services, such as retirement solutions, which provides actuarial and consulting services for large defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including consulting on plan design, funding, and risk management strategies; health and group benefits services, such as plan management consulting across the health and group benefit programs, including health, dental, disability, life, and other coverage. This segment also offers technology and administration solutions to provide pension outsourcing services; and international consulting services, including international human capital management and related benefits, and compensation advice for corporate headquarters and their overseas subsidiaries. Its Risk and Financial Services segment provides risk consulting and financial modeling software solutions primarily to the insurance industry; and investment consulting and solutions on investment strategy, risk assessment, asset allocation, manager selection, and investment execution to institutional investors, primarily pension plans. The company’s Talent and Rewards segment provides executive compensation advisory services, reward administration, and talent management technology solutions, as well as data, surveys, and technology services comprising compensation benchmarking, employee opinion surveys, and human resource function metrics. Its Exchange Solutions segment provides primary medical and ancillary benefit exchange services to retirees and pre-65 individuals; delivers group benefit exchanges to the active employees of virtually any employer in the United States; and offers a suite of health and welfare outsourcing services. Towers Watson & Co. was founded in 1865 and is based in Arlington, Virginia.

Towers Watson & Co. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $920.714 million compared to $904.833 million for the same period a year ago. Income from operations was $164.477 million compared to $121.257 million for the same period a year ago. Income from continuing operations before income taxes was $163.385 million compared to $141.144 million for the same period a year ago. Income from continuing operations were $104.36 million or $1.49 per diluted share compared to $101.913 million or $1.39 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Net income attributable to common stockholders was $104.142 million or $1.49 per diluted share compared to $102.506 million or $1.45 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA was $205.444 million compared to $182.517 million for the same period a year ago. Adjusted income from continuing operations were $113.744 million or $1.63 per diluted share compared to $112.734 million or $1.59 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. For nine months, the company reported revenue of $2,756.743 million compared to $2,602.297 million for the same period a year ago. Income from operations was $457.485 million compared to $369.27 million for the same period a year ago. Fitbug Holdings Plc Enters into Partnership with Towers Watson and HealthLogix to Develop HealthVantage

Fitbug Holdings Plc announced that it has entered into a partnership with Towers Watson and HealthLogix to develop HealthVantage, a comprehensive online health management solution. Developed by Towers Watson in response to growing client demand for healthier workforces, HealthVantage incorporates new technology, including wearable devices and online applications for smart devices, to give an organisation's workforce a full health 'refresh. HealthVantage will initially be launched to all Towers Watson clients in the Asia Pacific region. HealthVantage features: Multi-media tool with built-in components including nine Asian language capabilities; Wellness assessment and targeted health content; Smart device-based activity, nutrition and sleep tracking; Social media and behavioural economics used to engage employees; Personalised, individualised and corporate dashboards. For the employee, HealthVantage contains smart device-based activity; nutrition and sleep tracking; a host of health-related content that is targeted to issues relevant to that individual; and includes social media and gaming components to allow them to connect with other users. For the employer, the tool provides a dashboard of overall workforce health; identifies and forecasts health risks; and gathers and analyses data to pinpoint, for example, what is driving the organisation's leading health risks. Nine multi-language capabilities make HealthVantage suitable for a regional rollout. In addition, a consulting element makes the tool a bespoke solution for companies.

Towers Watson Appoints Olaf Lang as Head of Talent and Rewards Business Segment in Zurich

Towers Watson has appointed Olaf Lang as head of talent and rewards business segment for Zurich office. As of 1 May 2015, he will assume responsibility for this management of the business in Switzerland. At the same time he will also head up the "Executive Compensation" line of business across the EMEA region. Olaf Lang has more than 20 years of professional work experience in the field of Compensation & Benefits, in both consulting firms and the line management of international organizations like Hewlett Packard. In his last role until 2008 he was responsible as Managing Director and Global Head of Compensation & Benefits for the Private Banking division of Credit Suisse.
